Cards for Good Causes launched their charity Christmas cards site earlier this month, as UK Fundraising reported. The two celebs who joined the launch event were TV presenter Maggie Philbin and Lord Jeffrey Archer.

The Guardian Online spotted the presence of Lord Archer, who has subsequently been busy hitting the nation’s headlines for other reasons, and featured the site in this week’s edition.

“Better luck with your next photocall, chaps,” quipped The Guardian. UK Fundraising thinks a little free coverage in a national newspaper two weeks after the event seems perfectly acceptable luck. Cards for Good Causes incidentally is run not by a ‘chap’ but by Judith Rich OBE.
