Rotary raises over £150,000 for children's hospices

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland has raised over £150,000 for the Association of Children’s Hospices since July 2003.
Rotary Clubs have participated in many fundraising events, including in the run-up to Christmas. In addition Rotarians are giving hundreds of volunteer hours each week at local hospices.
The partnership has also raised awareness, and in Ireland, for example, a new children’s hospice is being planned in Dublin, with Rotary support.

There are currently 26 fully operational children’s hospices in the United Kingdom, and a 13 projects are underway to establish a children’s hospice service.
Rotary is the worldwide organisation of business and professional men and women who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.
