ChildLine launches appeal to donate used mobile phones

ChildLine, the 24-hour helpline for children and young people, is encouraging local schools and businesses to donate unwanted mobile phone handsets and chargers to raise much funds for the charity.

The campaign, styled as the ChildLine Mobile Phone Amnesty, starts in January 2004 and will continue throughout the year. It is supported by TV presenter Ian Wright. A donated mobile phone handset with charger could be worth up to £70 for ChildLine.
