UK Fundraising Forum archive grows

Howard Lake | 20 February 2004 | News

Our project of adding all the 4,000 messages posted on the FundUK e-mail list to the UK Fundraising Forum continues.

While daily discussions about all kinds of fundraising continue on the UK Fundraising Forum, we’re also working away at adding all the archive of the FundUK e-mail discussion list to the site. We’ve now completed all messages from 1996 to June 2000. With each archive message added, the Forum is turning into an ever more valuable and free-to-access collection of hundreds of fundraisers’ and consultants’ expertise.

If you haven’t explored the Forum before, try viewing today’s new messages. You’ll see the archive messages added and the current discussions. You are welcome to explore the archives to see if someone has already asked and answered that question that is currently stumping you. You’re equally welcome to ask a question or share your advice.

Unlike some of the newer fundraising forums that have been established on the US Yahoo site, you won’t have to keep clicking through screenfuls of adverts just to get to the message you are interested in. You can also sign up for free e-mail alerts on specific categories or even individual discussion threads, so that you keep in touch with the issues that matter to you.

UK Fundraising Forum, or its e-mail-only predecessor FundUK, was the first online forum for charity fundraisers in the UK. It was designed to help fundraisers learn from each other and improve their effectiveness, and is provided at no charge.
