E-Commerce Awards 2004 open for nominations

Charities and non-profit organisations, as well as for-profit companies, are eligible to enter this year’s E-Commerce Awards which recognise organisations that have demonstrated excellence through the use of the Internet and other information and communications technologies.

The awards are open to UK small and medium-sized businesses with fewer than 250 employees based in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.

Winners of each category, in each of the 12 awards regions will win £2,000 in cash and a place in the national finals. National winners in each category are awarded £8,000 and a trophy at the Awards Gala Dinner held in October 2004. The overall national winner receives an additional prize of £30,000.

Last year’s national winner in the Voluntary and Community Sector category was The Pentalk Network, the rural community site for North West England.

Entries for this year’s awards close on 30 July 2004.
