Amazon.com raises $13.5 million online for US Red Cross

As at 01.00 Amazon.com has raised $13,507,230.24 online for the American Red Cross in response to the Asian Tsunami earthquake disaster appeal.

The total consists of 167,029 payments, averaging $80.87. At midday yesterday the average stood at $80.64.

The donations are handled online by Amazon.com which says that it passes 100% of all donations to the American Red Cross.
