Irish radio campaign to yield 100 child sponsors

A recent radio campaign in the Irish Republic by World Vision to attract 100 new child sponsors is on course to meet its target. The campaign ran on Today FM and asked for child sponsors for the charity’s development programmes in east and west Africa.

The ask was ‚€25 per month, with donations by credit card. If the target is reached it will produce an annual additional income of ‚€30,000.

A spokesperson for World Vision said 1,100 people had texted the charity’s number promoted on Today FM indicating an interest in the campaign.
