Neuroblastoma Society Spring Conference and Annual General Meeting 2007

The 2007 Spring conference and Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 21st April.
Members and friends will be able to hear about the Society’s activities in the last year, including its award of nearly £600,000-worth of grants to support 6 research projects at UK laboratories and hospitals, meet the trustees and some of the researchers.
1. Dr Michael Jackson from the School of Biological Sciences (University of Liverpool) will bring the Society up to date with his Society-funded research on Analysis of the role of NF-kappaB signalling in neuroblastoma”.
2. Mr Keith Holmes – Medical Trustee of the Neuroblastoma Society will give a talk on Surgery for Neuroblastoma”.
3. Steve Baker – member of the Society and immediate past Trustee will present the Society’s new and improved website.
The conference and AGM will be at the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group offices, University of Leicester, 3rd Floor, Hearts of Oak House, 9 Princess Road West, Leicester, LE1 6TH, England.

Neuroblastoma is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. About 100 children in the UK are diagnosed each year.
The Society works exclusively for these children in raising funds for British research into the disease and offering information and support for anyone affected by neuroblastoma.
