GuideStar UK brings charity intelligence online to help charity lawyers negotiate the new legislative and public service deliver

Howard Lake | 25 April 2007 | Newswire

GuideStar UK is pleased to announce a new legal intelligence service (LIS) which provides high quality and comprehensive intelligence on charities through a unique web-based application.
The implications of the 2006 Charities and Companies Acts, along with legal issues arising for charities hoping to deliver public services mean charities and charity lawyers are entering a busy period.
The legal intelligence service will allow lawyers to undertake a range of detailed checks on charities including compliance and financial information as well as helping them identify new charities by a range of criteria. The advanced search functionality will also have access to charitable objects, governing documents, organisational policies and names of trustees.
GuideStar UK’s Chief Executive, David Brocklebank said
Charity lawyers are gearing themselves up to meet the challenges and opportunities being presented and GuideStar UK is pleased to respond to demand to make our unique information resources available through this service”
GuideStar UK intends to work with early adopters who will benefit from a discounted subscription rate and help us refine the service.
End.
