HOSPICE IS BUILDING A SUCCESFUL FUTURE WITH DURHAM STRUCTURES LTD
26/05/07
Staff from Durham Structures Ltd (DSL) in Darlington, have raised £500 for St Teresa’s Hospice, following a highly successful dress down day and substantial donation from head office.
The West Auckland Road-based firm, which offers a range of structural steelwork design, fabrication and erection services, has been a loyal supporter of St Teresa’s Hospice for many years.
Last month they continued their fundraising with a series of staff dress down days, where individuals each paid £1 to wear casual clothes rather than their usual smart work attire. The two-month campaign raised £250, which was matched by the company itself bringing the total to £500.
Brian Hunt, Managing Director, Durham Structures Ltd, said: DSL has been based in Darlington for more than 12 years and it is highly important to us that we are able to give something back to the local community. St Teresa’s Hospice is an exceptionally good cause and everyone here, from our managers and admin staff, to the on-site engineers, has a huge amount of respect and appreciation for the work they do. We are proud to support them.”
St Teresa’s Hospice Director, Jane Bradshaw, said: I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Durham Structures Ltd for their continued support and I hope that they will continue to fundraise on our behalf in the future.”
