Law firm launches 'Tolley's Guide to the Charities Act 2006'

Law firm Thomas Eggar has launched ‘Tolley’s guide to the Charity’s Act 2006’. Authors Jean-Paul da Costa, partner at law-firm Thomas Eggar, and Helen Harvie, Thomas Eggar associate, signed copies at the London event. The book provides authoritative and concise ./guidance on the impact of the Charity’s Act 2006 on charities and their advisors.
This latest book in the ‘Tolley’s guide to…’ series explains the introduction of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a new type of charitable organisation, as well as the public benefit test and the creation of the new Charities Tribunal. It also discusses how the Act better facilitates mergers and collaborations between charities.
