New qualification for charity and public sector managers

Howard Lake | 14 February 2008 | News

The Centre for Strategy and Communication, a training and management consultancy for the voluntary and public sectors, is to offer a Higher Education Certificate in Leadership and Management, available to public and voluntary sector managers.
Endorsed by Royal Holloway, University of London, this new management qualification will be formally launched at a reception at the House of Lords on 26 February 2008.
Individuals can participate in the course through the Centre’s open training programme, attending course modules on dates to suit personal schedules. As well as individual modules, participants will also attend a campus workshop at Royal Holloway and undertake a dissertation relevant to their own work.
The Centre will run the programme in-house for groups of staff, tailoring case studies and learning to organisational needs. The open training programme can then act as a back-up for any staff member unable to attend a particular group session. The course also includes a campus workshop at Royal Holloway.
