Lewis Temple, new Director at GuideStar UK

Lewis Temple is the new Director of GuideStar UK (www.guidestar.org.uk), the free online information resource on the 168,000 charities of England and Wales.
Temple joins GuideStar UK after 10 years working for international charities in developing countries, most recently as Regional Representative for Eastern Europe and Central Asia for HelpAge International.
GuideStar UK was founded in 2003 to provide an easily accessible source of detailed information about charities in the UK, and its website was officially launched in 2005. The service “was used over half a million times in 2007”.
The appointment of Temple as Director of the charity comes as GuideStar UK and Civil Society Systems merge to form GuideStar International and David Brocklebank, former GuideStar UK chief, is appointed as CEO of GuideStar Data Services (GDS), a community interest company wholly owned by GuideStar International (GSI).
