Online discussion forum for fundraisers in East Anglia

Howard Lake | 20 March 2008 | Blogs

Fundraisers in East Anglia have set up their own online discussion forum using the free Yahoo! Groups service.
The group is for those in “Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, or even Essex [sic]”, and is designed to help members “stay up to date on current fundraising trends and initiatives, as well as other issues that are pertinent to nonprofits, charities, and NGOs (non-governmental organisations)”.
There’s no charge to use the service and you don’t have to be a member of the Institute of Fundraising to register for it. Its founders say that “The IoF (Institute of Fundraising) and NVS (Norwich Voluntary Services) are supportive of our efforts.” The group’s founders, many of whom are based in Norwich, are “planning regular events in Norwich”.
The forum’s posts are already integrated within UK Fundraising where I’ve added the RSS feed to our new aggregator:
www.fundraising.co.uk/aggregator
where we present content from a wide range of fundraising-related sources.
The Fundraisers in East Anglia group is at
