Big Lottery Fund supports knowhownonprofit.org

The Big Lottery Fund has funded The City Centre for Charity Effectiveness Trust Ltd to create KnowHow NonProfit, which is due for public launch in Spring 2009.
The website offers information for anyone working for a ‘nonprofit’ organisation. Although this is a US rather than UK term, ‘nonprofit’ is presumably here being applied to the various charity, voluntary and community sector organisations that make up the ‘third sector’ or ‘civil society’.
As it continues to be built, the site is focusing on publishing content regarding strategy, fundraising, the role of the leader and governance.
In its fundraising section the site contains some summary information about issues such as funding and income basics, service income, loans and investments, and trading and shops.
It also features a funding and income discussion forum.
The site welcomes contributions from its readers, and carries a news feed from Third Sector magazine.
