Human Library

BBC Radio 4 broadcast an item on the Human Library the other day. Apparently, The Human Library is designed to promote dialogue, reduce prejudices and encourage understanding. Visitors to the Human Library are given the opportunity to speak informally with “people on loan”; this latter group being extremely varied in age, sex and cultural background.
There are a couple of sites listed for the UK. I don’t know if they “stock” prospect researchers, fundraisers or millionaires, but it might be worth checking out. What is its potential for cultivating supporters, I wonder? Is it so different from what many charities already do?
