Strategy and fundraising consultancy, Action Planning, has appointed Tony Bennett as Chief Executive. He joins from youth club charity, Clubs for Young People, where, as Chief Executive he was responsible for developing a new strategic direction, identifying new sources of funding and carrying out a major review of governance structures and processes.
He is an experienced corporate sector strategist, having worked as Worldwide Strategy Director of Thomas Cook and Managing Director of Going Places.
Action Planning has grown considerably in recent years, and now provides an integrated ‘full-service’ offering to charities including strategic consultancy, market research, capital and revenue fundraising, recruitment and a national programme of conferences and training.
David Saint, Chairman of Action Planning, which he founded 20 years ago, commented: “Tony wants to see a well resourced and well managed sector fighting disadvantage worldwide, and he clearly has the strategic and leadership skills to build on the rapid growth in our work in recent years”.
