Livability appoints new Director of Fundraising and Communications

National disability charity Livability has appointed Philip Roethenbaugh as its new Director of Fundraising and Communications. He joins from children’s advocacy charity Voice. Before that he was Assistant Director at Asthma UK.
He has spent over 12 years in the sector, during which he has raised funds for a variety of causes including health, social justice, youth work, building restoration, animal welfare, Christian mission and overseas development. He is also a trustee of The Stevenage Haven, a hostel for homeless single people in North Hertfordshire, which is currently undertaking a £4 million building development programme.
Roethenbaugh commented: “I have always been passionate about disability issues and I look forward to being involved in the charity’s great work supporting and empowering disabled people and bringing life to local communities.”
He takes over from Simon Bernstein who had been acting as interim director and will continue to work with the charity as a consultant.
