Have a Heart, the charity set up by Heart, the UK’s largest commercial radio network, has launched its annual fundraising appeal to raise money for ChildLine, the free phone and online counselling service for children and young people.
The theme for this year’s Appeal is Be A Kid For A Kid. Heart is encouraging its listeners to support the charity byreliving their youth and having in the process. Its fundraising packs are full of ideas including running a School Disco, holding a ‘Guest the Baby’ photo contest in the office, or running a cake sale or bring and buy sale.
The campaign builds to Appeal Week which runs from 5 to 9 March, where Heart presenters and showbiz guests will promote the campaign and encourage listeners to donate and bid for celebrity auction lots.
Dalton Leong, Managing Director of Have a Heart, said: “We’d love our 7.6 million listeners to get involved in activities to support the Have a Heart Appeal.”
