In memoriam fundraising service provider MuchLoved has added a new fundraising events facility to its site. Supporters can now add their own event or occasion to support their chosen tribute fund.
Users can updated their event with details of their progress and also display its own sub-total which is included as part of the overall Tribute Fund total.
Events created on the site can also link to any third party fundraising page such as Virgin Money Giving or JustGiving, given donors a wider choice.
Jonathan Davies of MuchLoved, the working name of the MuchLoved Charitable Trust, said: “The rise in both organised and Do-It-Yourself Event Fundraising offers opportunities for Tribute Funds as it can significantly increase the number of people getting involved to support the overall success of each fund. The MuchLoved Tribute Fund Platform offers the perfect place to consolidate and display these In Memoriam fundraising.
“The growth of online tribute sites is steadily increasing and the MuchLoved platform now has nearly 100,000 users. Many of these are via bespoke partnership agreements with leading UK charities including Pancreatic Cancer UK, Barnardos, Cruse Bereavement Care, The Motor Neurone Disease Association and Princess Alice Hospice.
