Give it Back George campaign receives award
The campaign that successfully persuaded the Chancellor to reverse his proposals for limiting tax relief on charitable giving last night received an award at the Public Affairs News Awards.
The Give it Back George campaign, jointly run by NCVO and CAF, received the award for voluntary sector campaign of the year.
Sir Stuart Etherington, chief executive of NCVO, said: "Left unchallenged, the Chancellor’s plans would have cost charities millions. Our rapid response campaign voiced the views of thousands of organisations across the charity sector and I would like to thank them for their support."
