Cloud services company launches Skyscape Foundation

Howard Lake | 15 July 2015 | News

Cloud services specialists Skyscape Cloud Services Limited has set up a charitable foundation through which it will donate money, staff time and services to charity.
The foundation will channel 2% of the company’s net profits to charity. The charities that benefit will be selected by the company and its employees. The company already encourages its employees to support their personal charities or ones close to them, as well as the company’s chosen charities — The Prince’s Trust and BBC Children In Need.
The Skyscape Foundation will also provide ‘matched funding’ for any money raised by its employees in their own charitable efforts.
In addition, Skyscape has committed to providing every employee one paid day each year for them to participate in all kinds of charity activity based around the giving of time, money and talent.
Simon Hansford, CEO at Skyscape Cloud Services, said:

“At Skyscape, we’re committed to using any success we may have as a business to give back to society. We have a pledge to support our community, which is exactly what the Skyscape Foundation will represent.”

The launch of the Foundation coincided with Skyscape’s involvement in endurance cycling race The Race Across America (RAAM) for the second year running. This year Skyscape sponsored the Ruck and Rollers team who completed the 3,000 miles in 6 days 11 hours to raise funds for Asthma UK. So far the team has raised over £100,000.
