Gone for Good

Free app on Android and Apple, Gone for Good eases the process of giving unwanted items to charity by arranging the collection of items of anything from small electrical goods, to large items of furniture, and clothing.
Users take a photo of the item they want to donate, give some details, and choose a charity to donate it to, and the app will arrange a time for the charity to collect it. Participating charities include Mind, Oxfam, The Salvation Army and Shelter.

GivingTales

A celebrity storytelling app developed by Sir Roger Moore and partners to raise funds for UNICEF, GivingTales donates 30% of the proceeds from each story sale to the charity. Celebrities including Sir Michael Caine, Joanna Lumley and Ewan McGregor narrate Hans Christian Andersen stories in the GivingTales app, which has been nominated in two categories for this year’s The Drum MOMA Awards.

sharethemeal

ShareTheMeal

This iOS and Android app developed by the United Nations World Food Programme recently announced that it is raising funds to help Syrian refugee children in Lebanon. The goal is to support 1,400 children aged 3-4 for a year by providing their parents with WFP food vouchers. The free app lets people tap their phone to share a meal by making a small donation of $0.50: the price it costs the WFP to feed one child for one day.
