IoF publishes new handbook for charity trustees

The Institute of Fundraising has launched Trustees and Fundraising: A practical handbook in partnership with NCVO, Charities Finance Group, and ACEVO.
The publication can be downloaded free from the IoF’s site as a PDF and aims to help boards of trustees ensure they are fully aware of their legal duties and wider responsibilities around fundraising.
It sets out the key questions that trustees should be thinking through, with practical advice and case studies, and is designed to support both fundraisers and trustees in working together to create a successful fundraising strategy that embeds the aims and values of the charity.
In addition to the handbook, the IoF has also produced a range of other resources, including an animation, PowerPoint slideshow, and a series of blogs.

The handbook was launched at the IoF Trustees and Fundraising Conference in London on 10th October.
Earlier in October, the Charity Commission, Grant Thornton, and Zoe Amar Communications also published a resource for trustees, focused on digital: Making Digital Work: 12 questions for trustees to consider.
