Harrison’s Fund launches annual Bah Humbug campaign

Harrison’s Fund is once again asking people to ‘have a very moany Christmas’ with its annual Bah Humbug campaign.
The campaign raises funds for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy by asking people to shame their Scrooge-like friends, family and work colleagues into donating to the charity every time they start moaning about Christmas with a host of online festive activities also planned via social media.
As well as raising funds, the campaign asks people to spare a thought for those children who can’t enjoy simple Christmas tasks like hanging a decoration on the tree because they suffer from a life threatening illness like Duchenne.
A special Bah Humbug box can be downloaded from the Harrison’s Fund site, or people can donate via the campaign’s JustGiving page.

Alex Smith, charity founder and Harrison’s father, said:

“We’re all guilty of having a bit of a moan at Christmas but for boys with Duchenne the reality of what Christmas means is tough. So next time you catch yourself grumbling about gift lists or whining about wrapping paper, spare a thought for Harrison and the boys like him and get involved in our campaign.”

The concept came from creative company, Field Day, which provides pro bono support to the charity.
