UK companies take to the Web

More UK companies are developing Web presences, according to new surveys

More than 32% of major UK companies now have a Web site, and a further 27% are planning to build one. These are the conclusions of a study Major UK Companies and the Web by The WebSite Consultancy. Planned budgets for company sites now average £56,000 per year, with budgets for sites already built averaging £22,708.

KPMG’s Electronic Commerce report says that 59% of companies have allocated a budget for marketing on the Internet.
