New group for voluntary sector information managers

Volinfo is the new name for the group for people providing or managing information in the voluntary sector, such as librarians, information managers, information officers, and resource centre managers.
Volinfo will be launched at a free event on 7 November 2003 at CILIP, 7 Ridgemount Street, London. At the event library and information trainer and consultant Kathy Roddy will speak on setting up and running a library/information resource on your own.
The group aims to give members a chance to share skills and techniques about managing information, give mutual support and advice, and network with their peers.

The group has also established an e-mail discussion list.
