Telephone fundraising convention announced

The first ever Telephone Fundraising Convention will be held on 10 March 2004 in Fife, Scotland, by telephone fundraising agency Premier Contact in partnership with Professional Fundraising.
The convention, at Balbirnie House Hotel, Fife, is the first UK convention devoted solely to the future of telephone fundraising. Speakers include Tony Elischer of Think Consulting Solutions; Paul Farthing of Target Direct; Henk Smit of the Fundraising Company, Amnsterdam; Daryl Upsall of Daryl Upsall Consulting International, Madrid; and Dorothy Wheeler of Premier Contact.
Sessions will cover what is happening in Europe, face to face and the telephone, telephone technology, and the telephone as a fundraising or marketing tool.

The day ends with the unusual offer – in terms of most of the conventions that we have been to – of some homemade cakes with tea.
The delegate fee is £140 and accommodation is offered at an extra fee at four nearby hotels.
