TRAID launches new Web site

Howard Lake | 21 January 2004 | News

Fashion recycling charity TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development) has launched a new Web site, designed at no charge.

Charities can still acquire new or redesigned Web sites at no charge. The latest to do so is TRAID. Their site redesign project was undertaken free of charge by zerofee, a new organisation which aims to give charities access to professional design, completely free of charge. Zerofee was formed and is operated by designers Paul Buck and Ela Kosmaczewska.

The site provides information on TRAID’s three main areas of activity; recycling, retail and overseas development projects.

The charity says that its site is designed to help it reach a wide audience from recyclers and young shoppers, to Local Authorities and other charities.

The site includes details of how to apply for funding, where to find the nearest store is, and where to find the nearest clothes recycling banks.

“We are extremely grateful to zerofee for their professional advice and design for our new Web site” said Maria Chenoweth, Chief Executive of TRAID. “Their help has been invaluable and we are very pleased with the new design, which is clear and easy to navigate.”

“We are keen to hear from any charitable organisations in need of design assistance, or from any designers who would be willing to be involved with future projects”, says Paul Buck.
