Personnel company donates £10,200 to Breast Cancer Care

Specialised administrative personnel provider OfficeTeam has donated £10,200 to Breast Cancer Care after choosing the charity as its corporate charity in 2002.

For the past two years OfficeTeam has run a number of national and local initiatives to raise money for the charity. For example, in 2003, OfficeTeam enlisted the help of Gillian Clark, Britain’s most capped badminton player, to host a series of business breakfasts around the country raising a significant amount of money from local businesses.

OfficeTeam also offered to donate £1 for every candidate placed in its ‘Hired to Help’ campaign.

In addition, local offices ran their own fundraising initiatives and got involved with the annual ‘Pink Day’, which took place on 1 August 2003. This initiative required all employees to wear pink for a day, donating money to the charity “or forfeiting a hefty fine”. Other fundraising activities have included quiz nights: OfficeTeam’s Portsmouth office raised in excess of £1,000 by this method.
