Over 200 of Volunteering England’s local volunteer recruitment bureaux will rebrand tomorrow as ‘volunteer centres’ and take the brand identity of the new national volunteering body.

The rebranding comes at the beginning of Volunteers’ Week, run for the first time by Volunteering England, which came into being after mergers on 1 April 2004. It follows concern that the various naming styles for local bureaux caused confusion and a lack of awareness about their services amongst the public.

The rebranding was funded by a grant of £365,000 from the Home Office’s Active Communities Unit.
