Daily Telegraph publishes annual pay survey

Bart Becht, chief executive of a cleaning products company, received the highest salary last year for any FTSE 100 company, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Becht, chief executive of Reckitt Benckiser, earned £4.23m in 2003 in a combination of salary and bonuses.

According to the Daily Telegraph’s annual pay survey, the average wage of a FTSE executive director has risen from £676,000 to £725,000, an increase of 7.5% in the past year.
