Blackbaud, the software and services provider to non-profits, has held the first in a series of educational forums.

The forums, which will be held on a quarterly basis, are a series of free educational meetings aimed at ICT and fundraising professionals within larger charities, at which prominent speakers will share their views on future trends and topics of current interest.

Paul Steadman, Managing Director of Blackbaud’s European operation, commented: “These forums are designed to act as a catalyst for the development of best practice processes in the sector, as well as offering a platform for like-sized organisations to discuss relevant issues, challenges and ideas.”

The subject of the first forum focused on Blackbaud’s recently launched reporting and analysis software, The Information Edge„¢, which has been designed to enable not-for-profit organisations to integrate and analyse the high volumes of data they collect every day, in order to make more informed decisions faster.

Speaking at the event was Tony Elischer, Managing Director of Think Consulting Solutions, whose presentation entitled “Integrating Our Thinking around Individuals in the Future” looked at the key factors that are shaping the UK donor scene and the increasing challenge to fundraisers to evolve an holistic view of their supporters.
