Howard Lake | 16 July 2004 | News

Seventy-nine year old Peggy Wood MBE from Maidstone has had a new cancer centre named after her after she raised over £3 million for it.

She began fundraising in 1981 after her grandson developed leukaemia.

The new treatment centre has been named the Peggy Wood Breast Care Centre.
