Eighteen top Tesco executives, led by Director Tim Mason, together with a group of leading businessmen and women are taking part in a sponsored bike ride across part of the route of the Giro d’Italia to raise funds for Action Medical Research.

The team, known as The Barking Badgers, will cycle along one of the toughest stages of the Giro d’Italia, from Milan to Venice. Taking on the route designed for pro-cyclists, these amateur enthusiasts will be cycling between 60 to 100 miles a day, tackling tough climbs from 100m above sea level to 1434m in just over 15kms.

Action Medical Research is promoting the event to companies in terms of its team building and networking opportunity.
