Donated sofas raise funds for British Heart Foundation

A steady stream of donated second-hand sofas is helping to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in London.
A partnership between Marlin Apartments, the London owner-operated serviced apartments company, and the heart charity involves Marlin donating furniture to BHF Furniture and Electrical stores while it refurbishes its apartments. So far it has donated 48 sofas which have raised nearly £5,000. Further collections of donated items will take place this month and continue for the rest of this year.
Marlin Apartments will also generate further funds for BHF. It is donating all unclaimed lost items found when it refurbishes apartments.
Susan Cully, Managing Director of Marlin Apartments, said that the company was continuously updating its furniture.

“Most recently we simply swapped our almost-new sofas for sofa beds to offer more flexibility to customers. Marlin is overjoyed that rather than disposing of them, they have gone to a fantastic cause”.

She added “we will be donating everything we can this year to support the crucial work of the BHF.”
