Multi-newspaper Christmas appeal launched for homeless veterans

Howard Lake | 1 December 2014 | News

For the first time the Evening Standard and The Independent newspapers have launched a joint Christmas charity appeal.
The titles are joined by The Independent on Sunday, The i, London Live, and i100 to appeal on behalf of two service charities – ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and Veterans Aid. The focus of the appeal is on homeless veterans.
The campaign, the biggest run by the publications’ parent media group, marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. It is supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation.
As a result, the campaign has received extensive coverage and promotion within the titles, including several front page stories.
