Justine Williams has been appointed Fundraising and Communications Director at Riders for Health, the charity and social enterprise.
She joined the organisation in March 2015 where she is focusing on delivering voluntary and grant-based income from a wide range of UK and international donors, and developing Riders’ brand and increasing public awareness of their work in Africa.
Riders for Health improves the delivery of health care in Africa using reliable, well managed motorcycles and four-wheeled vehicles. They work in partnership with ministries of health and other NGOs to help deliver their transportation needs, and improve access to health care for over 14 million people.

Before Riders for Health, Williams led the fundraising team at PDSA on an interim basis and was Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications at Willow Foundation. She has also spent over 20 years within international development charities including Plan International, ActionAid and Practical Action.
She said:

“Although we are a small organisation we consistently punch above our weight both in our programme work and within our fundraising. We are the official charity of a global sporting league – the motorcycle grand prix (MotoGP™) and we’ve recently launched a new programme in Liberia in partnership with the Ministry of Health, helping to re-build the health system after Ebola.”
