The Institute of Fundraising Welcomes London South Bank University as Training Partner
The Institute of Fundraising (‘Institute’) welcomes London South Bank University as a new credited Licensed Training Provider. The Institute’s partnership with London South Bank University has enabled both bodies to increase opportunities for fundraisers in their professional development.
Carrick Allison, Director of Professional Development at the Institute of Fundraising says: The Institute is delighted to welcome London South Bank University as a credited Licensed Training Provider. If UK charities are to continue to operate in an increasingly competitive market then the professional development of fundraisers must be of upmost importance. Our partnership means that fundraising is embedded in two key courses at a London university, expanding choice for fundraisers and supporting the voluntary and community sector significantly.â€
Robin John, Head of Department of Marketing and Strategy at London South Bank University, adds: This is very good news for fundraisers in charities around London. The part-time MSc and Postgraduate Certificate courses we offer in marketing and fundraising will give fundraisers seeking professional advancement an affordable opportunity to enhance their skills.â€
Peter Maple, visiting fellow in fundraising comments, These courses will provide a direct route for experienced fundraisers to obtain the Institute’s Certificate in Fundraising Management and offer charities in our catchment area a marvellous chance to build team expertise and reduce staff turnover by giving staff the opportunity to advance without having to move employers.â€
