Children’s charity Ark has once again raised over £25 million in one evening from its seventh annual fundraising dinner at which over 1,100 hedge fund managers and other UK financial services staff attend.
Last week’s event at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich raised £25,060,000, a little less than the 2007 total of £26,600,000.
Ark’s chairman Arpad Busson was joined at the event by former Prime Minister the Rt Hon Tony Blair, with entertainment from Trinity Brass, Hillsong & Gospel Choir, and Stevie Wonder.
Donations to the fundraising auction at the event came from Fiat, Damien Hirst, Graff diamonds, Tracy Emin and others.
