Wolverhampton University student volunteers to receive awards

Students who volunteer for good causes will be recognised at an awards ceremony at the University of Wolverhampton on 3 June.

Active Volunteers at the University has launched a new Volunteer of the Year Award for a student volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to their community.

The award winner will receive a prize of £500 pounds worth of vouchers in recognition of their achievements, together with a cheque, courtesy of sponsors The Midcounties Co-operative, for the organisation they have volunteered with.

Three students will also be presented with Volunteering England Gold Awards to recognise their achievements in promoting volunteering to other students. Volunteering England’s Gold Award is a national student volunteering award that recognises achievement, dedication and leadership within further and higher education.

In addition, a School of Art & Design student who came up with the winning design for the award will receive a prize.
