Fundraiser to sample la dolce vita

Two experienced Irish fundraisers have recently taken up new positions, with one leading a campaign in Italy.

Harvey Duthie is joining CCS Fundraising, one of the world’s largest fundraising consultancies. He will lead a €100 million campaign for the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources based in Rome.

Harvey spent the last three years as a Senior Consultant with 2into3 in Dublin, initially building the fundraising recruitment business and more recently delivering strategic fundraising advice to an array of clients. His clients have included the National Council for the Blind, Irish Red Cross, Niall Mellon Township Trust, Simon Community, ISPCC and Saint Vincent DePaul.

He has previously spent a number of years with CCS delivering fundraising campaigns with combined goals in excess of €50 million. His clients have been in Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland and include the Archdiocese of Armagh and Castleknock College.

Meanwhile, Paul Collins has left his position as head of fundraising with the MS Society in Dublin and returned to Northern Ireland to run Praxis Mental Health’s fundraising department. Paul previously worked with the Simon Community in Northern Ireland and Oxfam.
