Howard Lake | 24 November 2010 | News

Nominations for the Institute of Fundraising’s National Awards have now opened, with four new categories introduced for 2010.
The new categories are: Best Use of Major Donor Fundraising, Best Integrated Fundraising and Campaigning Organisation, Most Committed to Learning and Development, and Best Supplier 2011.
Nominations must be made before 17.00 on 1 March 2011.
The judging panel consists of a selected group of “some of the most respected figures in the fundraising sector”. UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake is honoured to have been invited to join the judging panel.
With the exception of Best Supplier 2011 award, only non-profit organisations are eligible for nomination. However, both fundraisers and their agencies and suppliers can nominate free of charge.
Shortlisted entrants will be announced in April 2011 and the winners will be announced at the IoF National Awards ceremony, held at the Hilton London Metropole on 4 July 2011.
Ruth Moore, Head of Events at the Institute of Fundraising, said: “Unlike most awards nominations, it is free to make a nomination for IoF National Awards. We received a record number of awards nominations for 2010 and, with the new 2011 awards categories, anticipate an even greater number this year.”
